About Olduvai Gorge historical site

Over the past 30 years or so, it has become increasingly clear that Africa may be the "cradle of humanity". From Africa they spread to fill the rest of the land. The remains of the oldest human beings are found in Oldupai Gorge.

Olduvai Gorge is a site in Tanzania with the earliest evidence of human ancestors. Ancient anthropologists have found hundreds of fossil bones and stone tools in a region dating back millions of years, leading them to conclude that humans evolved in Africa.

Olduvai is a typo of Oldupai, the Maasai word for the wild sisal plant that grows in the area. The gorge is located in the Great Rift Valley, between Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. It is 48 km from Laetoli, another fossil region rich. The Strait of Olduvai was formed about 30,000 years ago, as a result of aggressive activity and geological current.

The valley is about 30 miles (48.2 km) long and 295 feet (89.9 meters) deep, and it's not big enough to classify it as a valley. A river passes through several layers to form four single beds, the oldest of which is estimated at about 2 million years.

In Laetoli, west of Ngorongoro Crater, human footprints are preserved in the 3.6 million-year-old volcanic rocks and represent some of the oldest signs of humankind in the world. Three separate paths for walking with a small brain early. Astralopithex avarensis, a creature with a height of 1.2 to 1.4 meters, was found. These fingerprints are displayed in the Oldupai Museum.

More advanced descendants of the quasi-littles were found to the north, and were buried in the strata of the 100-meter-old Oldby Strait. Fossils, mainly by archaeologist Louis and Mary Lakey, resulted in four different types of humans, indicating a gradual increase in the size of the brain and the complexity of their stone tools.

The first skull of Zinjanthropus, known as the "Nutcracker Man" who lived about 1.75 million years ago, is found here. The main discoveries are Home Hbilis, Zinjathropus, and Laetoli fingerprints.
